You've seen people turn slides into videos with AI tools like Synthesia or HeyGen. Here's how in Copilot: Create a video can start from a PowerPoint file, write a script, add narration, and let you refine it.
A common situation (composite)
The product deck took a month.
Sales wants something to drop in a LinkedIn post.
Nobody has time to record a voiceover.
What you get
- Data: one PowerPoint deck.
- Does: writes a script, adds AI narration and builds a video from your slides.
- Output: a short video you can export.
- How often: per launch or deck.
Before you start
- Needs: Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat with your work account, and Clipchamp turned on by your admin. Not sure what you have? Start here.
- Where: Copilot app, Create a video.
- Access: Copilot only uses content you already have permission to open. Use only information your company allows in Copilot.
The steps
- Open Create in the Copilot app and choose Create a video (or More, then Video).
- Select + Add a file and pick the PowerPoint.
- Paste the prompt and generate.
- Read the transcript, refine with Transform, then Export & share.
Copy this prompt
Prompt
Make a 60-second video from this deck for [audience] on [LinkedIn / our intranet].
Open with the main problem in one sentence, then the 3 key points, then end with "[call to action]".
Tone: [confident and friendly]. Keep the narration plain, no buzzwords.

Refine with Transform with AI
Make the narration slower and shorter, and switch to calmer background music.

What a good result looks like
Read the transcript word for word. The script is AI-written, so check every claim. Videos don't inherit the deck's sensitivity label.
If a feature is missing
If you don't see Create a video, Clipchamp isn't turned on for your organization. Ask your admin.
Make it smarter
Keep a short "What it got wrong" note. Paste it above the prompt next time, like "Don't invent dates".
Not sure what to ask? Copy the quick note for your Copilot admin.
