You've seen AI notetakers send recaps after every call. Here's how in Copilot: open the meeting's Recap tab in Teams and ask Copilot. It works on meetings that were transcribed.

What you get

Before you start

1. Needs: Microsoft 365 Copilot. Not sure what you have? Start here.
2. Where: Teams, Recap tab.
3. Access: Copilot only uses content you already have permission to open. Use only information your company allows in Copilot.

The steps

1. Open the meeting chat and select the Recap tab.
2. Select Copilot, View prompts, then Recap the meeting.
3. Paste the follow-up prompt.
4. Check owners with the people named before you share it.

Copy this prompt

List action items from this meeting in a table: action, owner, due date, where it was said.
Separate "agreed" from "suggested".
Was I mentioned? If so, what about?
What questions were left open?

What a good result looks like

If a feature is missing

If nobody turned on transcription, Copilot isn't in the Recap tab afterward. Paste your notes into the meeting notes to actions guide instead.

Make it smarter

Keep a short "What it got wrong" note. Paste it above the prompt next time, like "Don't invent dates".
