You've seen ChatGPT scheduled tasks send a morning briefing. Here's how in Copilot: run your prompt in Copilot Chat, then schedule it. You can have up to 10 scheduled prompts.

A common situation (composite)

I open Outlook, then Teams, then my calendar.
Twenty minutes later I still don't know what to do first.
I want one list waiting for me.

What you get

  • Data: your mail and calendar, plus Teams chats.
  • Does: runs a brief on a schedule.
  • Output: a daily list of meetings, asks and deadlines.
  • How often: every workday.

Before you start

  1. Needs: Microsoft 365 Copilot. Not sure what you have? Start here.
  2. Where: Copilot Chat, scheduled prompts.
  3. Access: Copilot only uses content you already have permission to open. Use only information your company allows in Copilot.

The steps

  1. Open Copilot Chat and check Work IQ is on.
  2. Run the prompt once and adjust it until the answer is useful.
  3. Hover over the prompt and select Schedule this prompt. Set how often it runs.
  4. Manage it later from Settings and more > Scheduled prompts.

1. Today's meetings, and for each one the last email or file about it
2. Emails or Teams messages from the last 24 hours that ask me to do something, with who asked
3. Deadlines in the next 3 days mentioned in my mail or chats

What a good result looks like

The asks it lists are real asks. Trim the prompt if it pads the list.
