You've seen people make flyers with Canva AI or ChatGPT images. Here's how in Copilot: Create has a Design a poster option that works with a work account.

A common situation (composite)

It's an internal lunch and learn.
Nobody will come if the invite is a plain email.
I need a poster for the break room and Teams.

What you get

  • Data: event name, date, place and the feel you want.
  • Does: drafts a poster design.
  • Output: a poster you can edit, download and share.
  • How often: each event.

Before you start

  1. Needs: Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat with your work account (a Microsoft 365 Copilot license gives steadier quality). Not sure what you have? Start here.
  2. Where: Copilot app, Design a poster.
  3. Access: Copilot only uses content you already have permission to open. Use only information your company allows in Copilot.

The steps

  1. Open the Copilot app, select Apps and more, then Create.
  2. Choose Design a poster, or pick a template.
  3. Paste the prompt and generate.
  4. Edit the text so the date, time and room are exactly right.

Copy this prompt

Poster for "[event name]", a [lunch and learn / product launch / team social] on [date] at [time] in [place].
Style: bold, modern, [brand colors].
Big title at the top, date and place in a clear block underneath, one simple illustration of [theme], a short line: "[one-line pitch]".
Leave space at the bottom for a QR code.

What a good result looks like

Date, time and place are correct and readable from across a room.

If a feature is missing

If text comes out garbled, generate the design without text and add the words with the Text tool.

Make it smarter

Keep a short "What it got wrong" note. Paste it above the prompt next time, like "Don't invent dates".

Not sure what to ask? Copy the quick note for your Copilot admin.
