You've seen people make post graphics with ChatGPT images or Midjourney. Here's how in Copilot: the Create section of the Copilot app makes images from a description, with your company's brand kit and colors if it has one.
A common situation (composite)
The post is written.
The stock photo looks like every other company's.
I want something that looks like us, today.
What you get
- Data: a description of the image and your brand kit if your company has one.
- Does: generates and edits images.
- Output: a square, portrait or wide image ready to post.
- How often: each post or campaign.
Before you start
- Needs: Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat with your work account (a Microsoft 365 Copilot license gives steadier quality). Not sure what you have? Start here.
- Where: Copilot app, Create an image.
- Access: Copilot only uses content you already have permission to open. Use only information your company allows in Copilot.
The steps
- Open the Copilot app, select Apps and more, then Create.
- Select Create an image and paste the prompt.
- Set Style, Brand and color, and Size. Square fits most feeds, Portrait fits stories.
- Generate, then use Transform with AI or Text to adjust. Select Save and copy.
Copy this prompt
Prompt: feed post
A clean flat-design illustration of [subject, e.g. a small team planning around a whiteboard], [brand color] and white palette, lots of empty space in the top third for a headline, friendly and modern, no text in the image.
(Prompt from stuckwithcopilot.com/guides/social-graphic-images/)
Prompt: quote card
Minimal background for a quote card: soft [brand color] gradient, subtle geometric shapes in the bottom right corner, calm and professional, large empty center area for text, no words.
(Prompt from stuckwithcopilot.com/guides/social-graphic-images/)
Refine with Transform with AI
Make the background lighter, move the main subject to the right, and keep the empty space on the left for text.
(Prompt from stuckwithcopilot.com/guides/social-graphic-images/)
What a good result looks like
The image leaves room for your headline. Add the words yourself with the Text tool so spelling is right.
If a feature is missing
Brand and color only shows brand kits if your company set them up. Without one, name your hex colors in the prompt.
Make it smarter
Keep a short "What it got wrong" note. Paste it above the prompt next time, like "Don't invent dates".
Not sure what to ask? Copy the quick note for your Copilot admin.
