You've seen creators drop a blog post into ChatGPT or Claude and get ten formats back. Here's how in Copilot: paste the article into Copilot Chat. It only needs the text you paste.

A common situation (composite)

We spend a week on one article.
It goes out once and disappears.
I want five more uses out of it without starting from scratch.

What you get

  • Data: one article or report you're allowed to share.
  • Does: rewrites it into other formats.
  • Output: a newsletter blurb, 3 social posts, an email and a pull quote.
  • How often: each new piece.

Before you start

  1. Needs: Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. Not sure what you have? Start here.
  2. Where: Copilot Chat.
  3. Access: Copilot only uses content you already have permission to open. Use only information your company allows in Copilot.

The steps

  1. Copy the full article text.
  2. Paste the prompt and the article into Copilot Chat.
  3. Ask for changes one format at a time, for example "make the LinkedIn post shorter".
  4. Check that no new numbers or claims crept in.

Copy this prompt

Repurpose this article. Use only claims and numbers that are in it.

1. Newsletter blurb, 60 words, with a link placeholder [LINK]
2. Three LinkedIn posts, each under 120 words, each with a different angle
3. A short email to customers, under 100 words
4. One pull quote, copied word for word from the article

Audience: [who]. Voice: [plain / friendly / expert].

Data tip: use this with your work Copilot, and leave out passwords, payment details and anything your company marks restricted.

What a good result looks like

Every number and claim appears in the original. The pull quote is word for word.

If a feature is missing

Long articles may need splitting. Paste the key sections and ask again.

Make it smarter

Keep a short "What it got wrong" note. Paste it above the prompt next time, like "Don't invent dates".

Not sure what to ask? Copy the quick note for your Copilot admin.

Ideas from a file

Copilot can brainstorm from a document you point it to, like a product sheet or case study. Ask for more ideas than you need and keep the best two.

  • Taglines or hooks: ask for ten, grouped by angle.
  • For sales: ask for three email opening lines based on a case study.

Prompt

Using [file], suggest ten taglines for [audience]. Group them by angle (saves time, saves money, less risk). Each under eight words. Use only claims the file supports.

Make it better

Run this next, in the same chat.

Pick the three strongest and tell me why. Then write one version of each that a [buyer role] would find believable.
